Experience
Mom and Student
Mom(Always):
I took time away to aid in the at-home therapy for my autistic son. During that time, I worked with a team of behavior analysts to teach my son empathy, social cues and ettiquette, and cause and effect at our home for 30-35 hours a week.
UI/UX Student (Jan 2018 - Present):
I enrolled in the Austin Community College UI/UX Designer program. In this program I have explored design thinking, user research, protoyping, and coomon design patterns.
Web Developer and Designer
UI Developer (May 2013 - Jan 2015):
As UI Developer for Doubleline Partners, I wireframed, mocked, and devleoped UIs for software that aided teachers to identify at-risk students based on course and test metrics.
Freelance Web Designer (Jan 2010 - April 2013):
As a freelance web designer, I designed websites to increase online visibility for small owners. I worked with clients to determine site requirements, designs, schedule, and delivered websites that reflected the clients’ aestetic.
Operational Tester
Product Manager (Jan 2009 - Nov 2010):
I was the product manager for a army simulation system that replicated Army intelligence data and battlefield models. I worked with a team of engineers to plan sim features and development.
Technologisst (May 2007 - Jan 2009):
I worked test teams to support testing equipment in the field using simulations to to replicate digital battle scenarios for Army command and control systems.
Intern(May 2005 - May 2007):
I learned the principles behind testing military in the hands of soldiers in the field as part of the Army Opertional Test Command.
